Job Summary
Responsible for the successful completion of comprehensive, accurate, and cost-effective group travel arrangements in a dedicated environment, while adhering to company policies for travelers, as well as utilizing corporate contracts and preferred suppliers in an efficient and professional manner.
Essential Functions
- Completes domestic and international group travel arrangements which may include air, hotel, ground transportation, and rail
- Operates within detailed client travel policies and procedures
- Sabre is the GDS
- Interacts with traveler or travel arranger and provides 1stlevel of support for customer service and technical issues
- Ensures compliance of a clients’ group travel policy while utilizing DT preferred vendors to maximize profit
- Adheres to DT standards in delivering customer service including telephone and email etiquette, and follows prescribed customer service escalation procedure.
- Follows company standards regarding procedures, utilization of tools, productivity, accuracy of work, and attendance
- Attends staff and training meetings for ongoing updates in travel industry and office procedures which may require you to work in the office if home based
- Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative working environment
- Engage with meetings and events team, meeting planners, and airline sales and support staff.
- Event accounting/reconciliations/billing
- Booking preferred suppliers and charters (negotiate group contracts)
- On call for large groups
- Problem solving/debit memos/customer service issues
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Extensive domestic and international group air experience
- Proficiency with international fares, routings, and required traveler documentation
- 3-5 years group or corporate air experience
- 3-5 years of GDS computer skills on Sabre system required.
- Must demonstrate thorough travel industry knowledge
- Ability to meet and exceed required performance standards
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Knowledge of Outlook skills and basic Microsoft platforms
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Preferred Skills
- Ability to provide VIP service, all day, every shift
