Overview: Our client is a well-established hospitality group in Barbados seeking an experienced Group Talent Acquisition Manager to lead recruitment and human resources across its hotel properties. This role is ideal for a proactive HR professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for attracting, developing, and retaining top talent.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources and Training function.
  • Oversee the full recruitment and onboarding process, working closely with department managers to identify hiring needs.
  • Develop and deliver employee orientation and soft skills training programs.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, labour laws, employee relations, and performance matters.
  • Manage employee relations, including disciplinary, grievance, counselling, and conflict resolution processes.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
  • Administer probation reviews, performance appraisals, employment confirmations, and employee contracts.
  • Coordinate leave management, including vacation schedules, sick leave, and absence reporting.
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyse turnover trends, and recommend retention initiatives.
  • Prepare monthly HR reports on staffing updates, promotions, departures, attendance, and employee activities.
  • Coordinate internal job postings and support succession planning initiatives.
  • Lead employee recognition and awards programs.
  • Liaise with unions, labour authorities, and external stakeholders on industrial relations matters.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and HR best practices.
  • Coach and support managers in developing high-performing teams.
  • Assist with HR projects and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in Human Resources, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Working knowledge of employment legislation, payroll administration, compensation, benefits, and labour relations.
  • Experience managing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and training initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and HR information systems.
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Professional, proactive, and customer-focused with the ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the organisation.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of three years of Human Resources experience
  • Working knowledge of employment legislation, payroll administration, compensation, benefits, and labour relations
  • Experience managing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and training initiatives
