Job Responsibilities:

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY

The IT Security Analyst is responsible for protecting the organization’s information systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. This role involves continuous monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, IT audit support (SOX, TISAX, Internal audits), Security KPI monitoring, and support for implementing security controls to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of corporate systems.

Job Security

  • Monitor security alerts, logs, and events using Magna ISRC tools.
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware infections, phishing attempts, and unauthorized access.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and document findings.
  • Lead or support incident response exercises and post-incident reviews.
  • Support the divisions throughout the IT audits process, ensuring the accomplishment of Magna standards and policies.
  • Support audits and compliance efforts (e.g., SOX, TISAX, ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, GDPR).
  • Comply with Magna, Government and the industry Standards and regulation.
  • Conduct vulnerability scans and coordinate remediation with IT teams.
  • Track and verify remediation of identified vulnerabilities or security tickets.
  • Assess threats and provide risk-based recommendations for mitigation.
  • Support identity governance processes and periodic access reviews.
  • Assist with tuning and optimizing security tools as the OT Firewall, CrowdStrike, DLP, etc.
  • Assist in developing and updating security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Prepare regular reports detailing security posture and key metrics.
  • Support cybersecurity awareness initiatives and phishing simulation programs.
  • Provide guidance to employees on cyber hygiene and best practices.
  • Support new projects, new initiatives, and improvements coming from any department, ensuring the completeness of the security scope, keeping Magna protected.

  • Follows all safety and non-safety Magna Seating rules and regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to established housekeeping standards.
  • Respond immediately to items brought to his/her attention with respect to hazards, defects or non-compliance issues.
  • Adheres to Magna’s health and safety, environmental, standards, operating procedures, policies.

  • Maintain proper records and backup documentation.

  • Liaise with other departments to identify, analyze and resolve IT related problems.
  • Suggest systems, processes, and activities that increase productivity by improving integration of people, materials, equipment and finance.
  • Introduce or recommend changes to work methods, aligned with Mafact and MPS methodology.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of experience in IT security, security operations, or related roles.Results oriented, well organized, strong communication and interpersonal skills, multi-tasking, and attentive to details.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work both independently and well with others.
  • Preferred Certifications: CompTIA Security+/ CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) / CySA+ /SSCP or higher (CISSP, CISM)
  • Knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Experience with SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability scanning tools.
  • Understanding of secure configuration and hardening guidelines (CIS Benchmarks, NIST).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and critical thinking.
