Requested Tasks:

  • Partner with current and prospective customers
  • Keep a thorough knowledge of what is happening the market, as well as overarching industry trends
  • Analyze client base or target market trends for the hotel
  • Devise new ways to expand client base through thoughtful and innovative ideas
  • Reach out to organizations and businesses who require hotel rooms/blocks for events, meetings, and conferences
  • Seek out opportunities to learn who the best point of contact would be at potential new clients for current and future business opportunities
  • Close sales with professionalism and a high level of detail
  • Negotiate terms and contracts with a stringent eye for detail
  • Represent the property at relevant trade association meetings and other sales-driving opportunities
  • When working with potential and current clients, stay fully attuned to their needs through a professional, detailed and thoughtful manner
  • Thoroughly understand the offerings and capabilities of the property
  • Ensure guests are enjoying their stay at the hotel and that group needs are met at all possible points of contact
  • Work closely with property leadership so that all parties are on the same page with upcoming events, room blocks, and potential needs
  • Adhere to Makeready's Guiding Principles
  • Additional duties and assignments as assigned

Requested Capabilities:

  • Prior Group Sales experience highly preferred
  • Prior experience working in a hotel or conference center environment highly preferred
  • Personable, professional and approachable personality
  • Excellent organizational skillset; keen eye for detail
  • This role will require travel; the team member must be able to travel independently via airplanes, cars, car services and hotels
  • Adhere to Makeready Travel Policies and Procedures
  • Required to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Adhere to Makeready & property policies and procedures as defined
