Job Requisition ID #
Position Overview
The Identity and Access Management (IAM) product team manages the question of “who (or what) is acting, under what context, and should access be allowed right now?” for the capabilities that comprise the Autodesk Design & Make Platform. We enable customers to collaborate confidently across organizations and geographies, protect intellectual property, meet regulatory obligations, and adopt AI‑ and automation‑driven workflows that are secure‑by‑default and operate at Autodesk scale.
As Autodesk shifts toward enabling multi‑company collaboration at scale; usage‑based and hybrid monetization models; AI assistants, agents, and automated workflows; and stricter global regulatory and sovereignty requirements, IAM is becoming a real‑time decision system, not a static gate. We are evolving from a human‑centric login system into a secure collaboration control plane for Autodesk’s capability-driven workflows that senses context, predicts intent, and continuously governs least‑privilege access for every human and non‑human identity, including agents and devices.
We're looking for an exceptional Group Product Manager to help drive this evolution. This is a "player-coach" role where you'll directly own product strategy for key elements of IAM while coaching and developing a small team of Product Managers working on related functionality. You and your team will play a key role in evolving our platform to adapt to the AI-driven transformation of software usage and monetization.
The ideal candidate is a proven product leader who thrives at the intersection of technical depth, strategic thinking, and people development. The role reports to a Director of Product Management and is part of the product management leadership team across all Access capabilities, ensuring we are providing holistic platform services to product development teams, product end users, and tech admins. We operate in a global, hybrid work environment, and this role is based in and leading a team in Singapore.
Diverse Perspectives:
We know innovation thrives in product teams where diverse points of view come together to solve hard problems, and we seek people that bring diverse life experiences, educational backgrounds, cultures, and work experiences. We look forward to learning how your perspective will bring something unique and valuable to our product teams.
Responsibilities
Own and execute a product strategy that balances customer needs, business objectives, and technical sustainability, translating it into prioritized OKRs and a roadmap
Influence teams outside our division, as well as vendors, to support this strategy
Coach and develop a small team of product managers, building a high-performing team
Collaborate with the product team and key stakeholders, including external vendors, to come up with effective solutions that are valuable, usable, technically feasible and viable for Autodesk’s business, taking accountability for business value and viability
Collaborate with the product team and key stakeholders, including external vendors, to deliver effective solutions to market, tracking and optimizing solutions post-launch to ensure they deliver the expected impact
Drive platform adoption by deeply understanding internal and external customer needs and pain points
Establish and measure platform success metrics, employing them for data-driven optimization
Craft clear, compelling stories about who my product is for, what problems it solves for them, and why it's important to our business, tailored for audiences ranging from individual contributors to senior management. Coach your team to do the same
Develop and maintain relationships with key business stakeholders, including from support, sales, finance, legal, and trust (security and privacy) so that you may influence and help your team effectively navigate business constraints
Contribute a deep knowledge of our users and customers, and the data about how our customers engage with our products, to the product team, driving a customer-first product culture
Track industry trends and the competitive landscape for identity and access management insights to inform our product strategy
Work with your peers and leaders to develop and implement an AI-enabled product operating model that enables product teams to accelerate business outcomes
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of product management experience with at least 3 years focused on platform
Applicants with 5+ years of product development experience in roles like engineering, developer advocacy, data analysis, data engineering, customer support, experience design and/or data science are welcome to apply if part of that time was in a product management role
1+ years of people management experience (or demonstrated leadership potential from within an individual contributor track)
Demonstrated understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery
Curiosity about and demonstrable use of AI that enables you to effectively coach a team of PMs to develop AI-related product sense and changes to ways of working
The demonstrated ability to figure out solutions to hard problems with many constraints, assess risks, and to lay out your argument in a well-structured, data-informed, written narrative
