While many roles at Coinbase are remote-first, we are not remote-only. In-person participation is required throughout the year. Team and company-wide offsites are held multiple times annually to foster collaboration, connection, and alignment. Attendance is expected and fully supported.
Team/ Role Paragraph:
- Partner with Compliance (FCRI, MLROs), CX Operations, and Engineering to define AI-friendly procedures, approval frameworks, and go-live criteria
- Manage complex stakeholder relationships across ET, Compliance leadership, CX leadership, and Platform PG
- Define and track key metrics including automation rate, false positive reduction, case quality, and cost savings
- Navigate regulatory constraints including SAR confidentiality requirements, GDPR, and AI governance policies
- Build and lead a small PM team (1-2 direct reports) focused on Compliance Automation execution
What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):
- 10+ years of product management experience, with significant experience in AI/ML-powered automation, compliance technology, or operational automation
- Experience leading large, complex cross-functional programs with multiple workstreams and stakeholders
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to partner effectively with ML engineers and understand agentic AI architectures
- Experience with regulated environments (fintech, banking, AML/BSA) and navigating compliance approval processes
- Demonstrated ability to drive executive-level alignment and communicate with senior leadership (VP+, ET)
- Experience managing managers or leading PM teams
- Strong analytical skills with experience defining success metrics, tracking glidepaths, and course-correcting based on data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce exec-level documents and presentations

- Strong analytical skills with experience defining success metrics, tracking glidepaths, and course-correcting based on data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce exec-level documents and presentations
- Demonstrates the ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots (e.g., LibreChat, Gemini, Glean) in daily workflows, continuously learn as tools evolve, and apply human-in-the-loop practices to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, and quality.
Nice to haves:
- Experience with Transaction Monitoring Systems (TMS), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), or SAR filing processes
- Background in Trust & Safety, Fraud, or Financial Crimes operations
- Experience with agentic AI, LLMs, or reasoning models in production environments
- Crypto, blockchain, or fintech experience
- Experience leading programs with significant cost-savings or headcount reduction targets
