About the Role
At Crunchtime, being a Group Product Manager means being a product-obsessed, people-focused, and growth-minded individual with a high degree of empathy. We’re looking for an avid learner, a mentor, an influential communicator, and a systems thinker who can grow and build an organization that thinks strategically yet drives decisions using data. Having a bias toward ownership, detail-oriented thinking, and a desire to work in true partnership with Engineering and Design are essential.
What you'll do as a Group Product Manager
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members from engineering, marketing, customer success, support, sales, and design, striving towards a set of clear OKRs
- Manage and mentor a team that includes a product manager and designer
- Co-own the future vision, strategy, and roadmap for an entire product line
- Lead customer and product discovery to launch innovative solutions
- Craft and own the product backlog for new features
- Triage and prioritize bugs to maintain a cohesive and seamless user experience
- Build customer relationships to understand their challenges, pain points, and goals
- Drive product development with a cross-functional team of engineers and designers
- Define and analyze metrics to inform product success and iteration
- Mentor and help grow other product managers in the organization
What we're looking for
- Seamless execution and planning skills
- Experience and familiarity with customer and product discovery frameworks and tools such as, but not limited to: User Story Mapping, Customer Journey Mapping, User Personas, Jobs to be Done (JTBD), and Product Requirement Documents (PRDs)
- 5+ years of experience managing technical software products
- 2+ years of experience managing a team
- Experience building and iterating on products with cross-functional teams in an agile environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills with ability to articulate customer JTBDs and problems to solve
- Systems thinking and analytical mindset to make decisions based on quantitative and qualitative feedback
- Experience using customer and product discovery frameworks such as, but not limited to: User Story Mapping, Lightning Decision Jams, Customer Journey Mapping and Jobs to be Done
- Ability to engage directly in technical conversations and translate to a non-technical audience
- Experience coaching and mentoring others
Nice to haves
- Experience leveraging Lean Product Development methodologies
- Domain experience in food service, food safety, QSR/FSR, retail operations, operations research or related fields
- Experience commercializing software products
- Prior people management experience
- 5+ years of experience managing technical software products
- 2+ years of experience managing a team
