Role Purpose:
To support the Group Geopolitics function by providing timely, structured & commercially relevant
analysis of political, economic, security, trade, regulatory and policy developments across DP World’s
global operating footprint. The role will be based in India and will focus on global geopolitical issues,
with coverage across APAC, Africa, the Americas, GCC and Europe. The Manager, Geopolitical Analysis
will translate complex geopolitical developments into clear implications for DP World’s ports, terminals,
logistics networks, trade corridors, customers, investments and executive decision-making. The role
will support early warning, country and regional risk assessments, market-entry and investment
diligence, scenario planning, crisis monitoring and concise advisory products for senior stakeholders.
As a manager-level role, the candidate is expected to work with a high degree of independence,
demonstrate strong judgement, maintain a disciplined monitoring rhythm, and produce crisp written
analysis that is accurate, balanced, actionable and tailored to the needs of the business.

Reporting to: Group Director – GRPA – Geopolitical Analysis, Communications – GR & PA
 
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
India-based role with a global remit, supporting Head Office and regional stakeholders across time
zones.
Geographic coverage to include APAC, Africa, the Americas, GCC and Europe, with the ability to
develop deeper country and corridor-level insight where business priorities require it.
Core themes include political stability, conflict and security, maritime chokepoints, sanctions, trade
policy, elections, industrial policy, infrastructure, economic nationalism, regulatory change, supply-chain
resilience and energy transition geopolitics.
 
Job Accountability
Monitor and analyse geopolitical developments across APAC, Africa, the Americas, GCC and Europe,
identifying risks, opportunities and potential business implications for DP World.Produce clear, concise and well-structured written analysis, including quick-take notes, weekly briefs,
regional outlooks, country-risk assessments, scenario papers, executive talking points and ad hoc issue
briefs.
Assess how political, security, trade and regulatory developments may affect ports, terminals, logistics
networks, maritime routes, supply chains, customers, infrastructure investments, partnership and
market-entry decisions.
Support strategic projects by providing geopolitical input into country and corridor assessments,
investment and partnership diligence, commercial planning, risk reviews and executive decision-making
processes.
Build and maintain reliable source lists, trackers, country profiles, regional dashboards and knowledge
repositories that improve the consistency and accessibility of geopolitical insight across the Group.
Engage with regional teams and business units to incorporate local context, validate assumptions and
ensure analysis reflects operational realities and commercial priorities.
Collaborate with Government Relations, Strategy, Commercial, Legal, Compliance, Security and
Communications teams to provide joined-up advice and avoid fragmented or contradictory messages.
Assist with managing external research inputs, expert calls or consultancy outputs where required,
ensuring outputs are relevant, targeted and useful to business needs.
Key Deliverables
Weekly global geopolitical brief highlighting the most relevant developments, why they matter and
potential implications for DP World.
Event-driven alerts and concise advisory notes for urgent or high-impact geopolitical developments.
Regional outlooks and deep dives across APAC, Africa, the Americas, GCC and Europe, aligned with
business priorities.
Country-risk, corridor-risk and market-entry/investment support notes for strategic projects and senior
decision-making.
Executive briefing packs, talking points and meeting notes for senior leaders, board-level discussions or
stakeholder engagements.
Maintained trackers, source lists and knowledge repositories for elections, sanctions, political risk,
conflict/security indicators, maritime disruptions and major policy shifts.
High-quality analysis that is accurate, timely, commercially grounded and easy for non-specialist
stakeholders to act upon.
 
Qualification, Experience and Skills
Master’s degree required in International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Public Policy or
Security Studies
5-8 years of relevant experience in geopolitical risk, political analysis, corporate intelligence, strategic
advisory, public policy, consulting, think tank research, journalism, government, international
organization or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to analyses global geopolitical developments and their business implications,
preferably for a multinational company, advisory firm, financial institution, infrastructure/logistics
company or policy organization.
Strong regional knowledge across at least two of the following regions: APAC, Africa, the Americas,
GCC and Europe; ability and willingness to broaden coverage across all regions relevant to DP World.
Understanding of global trade, maritime routes, ports, logistics, supply chains, infrastructure, economic
policy or energy transition issues is highly desirable.
Experience producing written products for senior or non-specialist audiences, including concise briefs,
memos, PowerPoint decks, dashboards, country-risk notes and scenario papers.
Experience with open-source research, source validation, structured analytical techniques and
monitoring tools; ability to use AI, data, maps and visuals to support judgement where useful.
Excellent analytical judgement, intellectual curiosity and ability to connect geopolitical developments to
business consequences.Outstanding writing skills: clear, concise, structured, balanced and commercially relevant.
Strong briefing and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders while
remaining evidence-led and proportionate.
High discretion, sound judgement and professionalism when handling sensitive business, political or
reputational issues.
Collaborative working style and ability to build trust with regional teams and cross-functional
stakeholders.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Word; strong Excel and
dashboarding skills desirable; flexibility to work across global time zones and occasionally travel if
required.
