Position Summary:
The Manager of Desktop and Collaborative Applications leads a team within Information Technology focused on delivering a seamless and secure user experience across desktop, mobile, A/V, and collaboration platforms. This role is responsible for optimizing workspace technologies with a strong emphasis on Microsoft and complimentary solutions. The position reports to the Director of IT Operations and plays a key role in driving innovation, usability, and operational excellence across the enterprise.
Essential Functions:
Lead the Desktop and Collaborative Applications team to deliver a seamless, secure, and productive end-user experience across all workspace technologies.
Optimize the user experience across desktop environments, mobile devices, A/V systems, and peripherals, ensuring consistency and reliability across platforms.
Own the strategy and lifecycle management of Microsoft technologies including Windows OS, Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online), Intune, and Azure AD.
Oversee mobile device management (MDM) and endpoint security for smartphones, tablets, and laptops using tools like Intune and conditional access policies.
Ensure high performance and usability of A/V systems in conference rooms and shared spaces, including integration with Microsoft Teams Rooms.
Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and service desk teams to deliver scalable, secure, and user-friendly desktop and collaboration solutions.
Develop and maintain standards, documentation, and policies for desktop, mobile, and collaboration technologies.
Analyze user feedback and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in workspace technology and support services.

Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree
10+ years of experience in IT operations with a focus on end-user computing, mobility, and collaboration platforms.
3+ years in a leadership or management role, with proven ability to lead technical teams and cross-functional initiatives.
Deep expertise in Microsoft technologies including Windows OS, Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online), Intune, and Azure AD.
Experience with endpoint and mobile device management tools such as Intune, JAMF.
Strong understanding of A/V systems, peripherals, and workspace technology integration, especially within Microsoft Teams Rooms environments.
Familiarity with identity and access management, conditional access, and device compliance policies.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a user-centric mindset.
Ability to drive change, improve processes, and deliver measurable improvements in user experience across desktop and mobile platforms.
