As the Group Data Analytics Expert you will join our Group Finance and Data Analytics team, in our Milan HQ, with a specific focus on top line and pricing, reporting and analytics activities for the two Business Unit (Special Papers and Self-Adhesives). Directly reporting to the Group Data Analytics Manager, you will manage large data sets and analytic models to point out business insights to monitor and support strategic decisions, aimed at enabling the ambitious transformation of the Group.
The impact you'll have
- You will develop new analysis, metrics and analytics reports, to provide insightful recommendations to Finance, Marketing and Sales teams.
- You will build and improve the data warehouse, also collaborating with IT team and external consultants.
- You will develop algorithms and new analytical models.
- You will actively participate to strategic new initiatives C projects which require analytic support.
- You will support in proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the data modelling approach.
- You will work with Knime and Power BI tools in order to maintain the existing workflows and develop new analytics prototypes.
- You will become a business partner with exposure to management and key decision makers of the two BUs.
The attitudes and skills we’re looking for
- You have a bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Information Technology/Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or another analytical discipline.
- You have previous experience (4-5 years) in Data Analytics gained in Consulting firms or within structured multinational Industrial Groups.
- You possess knowledge of data analytics best practices, aimed at optimizing financial performance, labor efficiency and customer service; broad understanding of Information Systems design methodologies, testing, processes and language.
- You have previous experience using Microsoft Power BI, Alteryx, Knime or other analytics tools.
- Your knowledge of accounting/finance principles would be considered a plus.
- You are able to prioritize tasks and to meet challenging deadlines.
- You have a positive attitude towards improvement and change.
- You are fluent in Italian and English.
