The role:

As the Group Business Continuity Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our organization is well-prepared to respond effectively to any disruptions. You will lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the business continuity management (BCM) framework across the Group to protect people, operations, reputation, and organizational assets. As the Group-level expert, you will collaborate closely with senior management and operational teams in an international environment. This role requires strong leadership, robust analytical abilities, excellent communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain the Group Business Continuity Management System (BCMS), supporting national entities in adapting it to their specific operational requirements.
  • Define and continually enhance the BC strategy, policies, and standards, aligned with Group governance.
  • Lead and standardize Business Impact Analyses (BIAs), risk assessments, and Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) across the Group to ensure consistent methodologies and application.
  • Embed a strong BC culture across the Group by partnering with senior management and operational teams, ensuring adherence to procedures, and delivering training and awareness programs at all levels.
  • Strengthen operational resilience at complex sites by working with local management to enhance mitigation strategies and BCPs, aimed at minimizing disruptions. Provide primary support for business continuity (BC) activities in the country where based, including assistance with crisis management.
  • Plan and oversee business continuity exercises and scenario testing, strengthening organization's preparedness and response capabilities.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to response teams during major incidents or crises.
  • Ensure compliance with international standards (e.g., ISO 22301) and industry best practices, supporting continuous improvement actions.
  • Maintain close coordination within the Group Risk Management and Insurance teams, recognizing the strong interdependencies between risk, crisis management, business continuity and insurance.
  • Stay informed about emerging risks, trends, technologies, and regulatory developments, and support the Group Head of Risk, Crisis, and Business Continuity in strengthening Group-wide business continuity and crisis management frameworks.

About You

  • 7+ years in business continuity management in a multinational corporate / industry environment, with a preference for candidates who have crisis management experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise approach to business continuity methodology (BIA, risk assessment, etc.), with a strong understanding of industry standards such as ISO 22301.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills to influence and manage interactions at all levels, including operational staff and top management.
  • Excellent communication and pedagogical skills to drive change and raise awareness within teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure in high-stress situations.
  • Proven expertise in establishing regular reporting to management to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Proficiency with BCM software, tools, and technologies.
  • Desirable but not essential certifications such as CBCI, CBCP, CBCM, etc.
  • Fluency in English is required and proficiency in French and/or Italian would be an additional benefit.
  • Willingness and ability to travel.

Skills Required

  • 7+ years in business continuity management in a multinational corporate or industry environment
  • Experience in crisis management (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of business continuity methodology (BIA, risk assessment) and ISO 22301
  • Proficiency with BCM software, tools, and technologies
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills with senior management
  • Excellent communication and training/pedagogical skills
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to perform under pressure in high-stress situations
  • Proven experience establishing regular reporting to management and tracking BC progress
  • Fluency in English
  • Proficiency in French and/or Italian
  • Desirable certifications such as CBCI, CBCP, CBCM
  • Willingness and ability to travel
