We are looking for a strategic, creatively driven and highly commercial Group Account Director (Business Lead) to join our Sydney team. 

The Role:

Creatively driven, entrepreneurial and respected. You set the standard for exceptional account leadership. You set the creative agenda and drive the process, bringing the team with you. As a trusted influencer, you build a cross discipline team that people want to be part of. You don't just make sure the work happens, you make sure it's the result of true team collaboration.

The Business Lead is a client-facing senior level role, responsible for growing new and existing pieces of business, developing and owning senior stakeholder relationships with our clients and within Akcelo, whilst also being responsible for meeting and exceeding revenue, profit targets within the portfolio. 

A Day in the Life:

  • An expert on the client business – you apply business understanding to strategic and creative debate to ensure all outcomes align with the client’s business objectives
  • A trusted influencer and indispensable to the client team – you are responsible for building and nurturing effective client relationships
  • Highly commercial – you prepare and present forecasts regularly, implementing strategies to meet and exceed these forecasts consistently
  • Keep the team energised and supported – championing and protecting the team and the process to ensure the integrity and quality of the work
  • Proactive in seeking opportunities to activate additional agency capabilities in service of the client’s brand and business needs

What we’re looking for:

  • Advertising creative agency experience in an Account Management role
  • Integrated experience (the work we do touches everything from Brand, Film, Digital, Social, Activations, PR, Retail, CX, Martech and customer lifecycle strategy)
  • Calm and resilient leadership style
  • A positive and solution focussed attitude
  • Team player – Ability to inspire, motivate and develop those around you
