Summary

We are currently seeking a Portable Grinder to work 1st shift at our plant located in Cudahy, WI. 1st shift is Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm.

Essential Functions

  • Receives carbon, alloy and high-density steel stock requiring grinding. Checks metal surfaces for defects as directed
  • Operates portable grinder, positioning wheel against metal surfaces to remove excess metal, fins, burrs, seams, defects, etc.
  • Exercises care and judgment to avoid damaging contour of stock
  • Changes grinding wheel for efficient operation. Uses hand tools as needed
  • Places processed stock in proper container for further routing
  • Maintains identity, i.e.: serial, heat codes, etc.
Preferred Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing
  • Minimum of 6 months' experience meeting production goals
  • Minimum of 6 months' forklift experience
  • Must be able to read and write in English.

  • 6 months or more of grinding.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
