As a Greenskeeper, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the exceptional condition of our 18-hole championship golf course.
2 weeks vacation, 8 sick days and 8 paid holidays. Eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision and Life insurance 60 days from date of hire. 401 (k) is available after one year of service with 4% employer match. Golf privileges and complimentary meals.
Position Summary: As a Greenskeeper at Serrano Country Club, you'll work closely with our Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent to ensure our course meets the highest standards of playability and aesthetics. From mowing and irrigation management to bunker maintenance and landscape upkeep, you'll contribute to preserving the natural beauty and playability of our course while upholding our commitment to excellence in course maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily maintenance tasks, including mowing, edging, trimming, and grooming of greens, tees, fairways, and roughs.
- Assist in irrigation system operation, troubleshooting, and repair to ensure proper water distribution.
- Maintain bunkers by raking, edging, and replenishing sand as needed.
- Conduct landscape maintenance duties, including planting, pruning, weeding, and mulching.
- Operate and maintain golf course equipment, including mowers, tractors, and hand tools.
- Participate in special projects, such as course renovations and drainage improvements.
- Adhere to safety protocols and best practices to create a secure work environment.
- Collaborate effectively with other members of the golf course maintenance team.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in golf course maintenance or landscaping preferred.
- Knowledge of turfgrass management principles, irrigation systems, and equipment operation.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
