POSITION OVERVIEW

The HOA Greenskeeper I performs general landscape maintenance duties for the Homeowners Association areas under the direction of the HOA Superintendent and Foreman. This position is responsible for maintaining the beauty, safety, and cleanliness of desert landscape areas through daily upkeep, use of hand tools, and operation of light equipment.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Perform desert landscape maintenance, including trimming, pruning, raking, weeding, and debris removal.
• Operate hand-powered landscape tools such as hedge trimmers, loppers, pruners, and hula hoes.
• Maintain assigned areas in a clean, orderly, and hazard-free condition.
• Perform repetitive physical tasks and maintain productivity throughout the shift.
• Adapt to changing weather conditions and shifting priorities while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Safely lift, move, and carry tools, materials, and debris (up to 50 lbs).
• Follow all safety protocols and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report damaged equipment, irrigation leaks, or unsafe conditions to the Foreman or Superintendent promptly.
• Exhibit professionalism, teamwork, and respect when interacting with coworkers, residents, and guests.
• Leadership: Demonstrate reliability, integrity, and a positive work ethic while representing the HOA and Club values.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with fellow Greenskeepers and departments to ensure the community’s grounds are maintained to the highest standard.
• Safety: Follow established safe work practices and participate in all required safety training.
• Other Duties as Assigned: Perform additional landscape or maintenance tasks as needed.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

• Experience using hand-powered landscape tools and equipment preferred.
• Previous landscape or grounds maintenance experience desirable.

Required Technical / Other Skills and Abilities

• NAbility to follow instructions and complete work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Required Licenses/Certifications

• California driver’s license preferred.
