This position is designed for a college student looking for a hands-on experience to learn more about Trans Ova and the advanced reproduction technologies that we have to offer. We are looking for an individual who is motivated and wants to follow a career path in bovine reproduction. 

Major Areas of Accountability:

  • Exposure to the complete process of In Vitro Fertilization.

  • Hands-on project on a desirable topic agreed upon with supervisor. 

  • Assist the Professional Services Veterinarian team with cattle handling on farm, prepare equipment for IVF procedures, and interact with clients. 

  • Assist the Professional Services Embryologist team with oocyte searching and processing, embryo grading, freezing, and embryo transfers. 

  • Assist the IVF lab with embryo freezing preparation, inventory and effectively learn how to use relevant lab equipment to complete other tasks such as fertilization, stripping, moving embryos, and loading embryos on practice donors. 

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Cattle handling experience 

  • AI or Advanced Reproduction Technology exposure preferred 

  • Strong desire to pursue a career in bovine reproduction 

  • Willingness to learn and develop both personally and professionally

  • Pursuing a degree in Animal Science or equivalent education
