Job Title: GRC Solutions Developer

Department & Team: Product Security & GRC

Reports to: Alex Collins

Location: Hungary (Flexible)

Summary:

We are seeking a talented Cloud Software Developer to join our GRC Operations team, focusing on managing and automating our governance, risk, and compliance processes. This role combines technical expertise with GRC domain knowledge to build and maintain internal services, automate workflows, and implement security metrics. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in modernizing our GRC operations through technology while working in an agile environment.

Genesys is changing how businesses communicate with their customers using a micro-service architecture, based primarily on Java and Python, and hosted in AWS. It is the function of our team to keep our customer, company and employee data safe, and to prove it to third-party auditors.

Key Responsibilities

Service Management & Process Improvement

Lead the management and enhancement of internal-facing GRC services, working collaboratively within an agile team environment. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness of GRC operations.

Automation & Integration

Spearhead the design and implementation of automation solutions for GRC processes, focusing on reducing manual effort and improving accuracy. Develop and maintain integrations between key applications to create streamlined, efficient workflows that support compliance activities and audit requirements.

Project Management & Documentation

Own the management of GRC projects within Jira, ensuring proper tracking, prioritization, and delivery of initiatives. Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all solutions and processes, ensuring knowledge transfer and operational continuity. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate these into technical solutions.

Technical Leadership & Development

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, helping to build a strong technical foundation within the GRC team. Participate in code reviews, roadmapping discussions, and technical planning sessions. Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for GRC automation and integration projects.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline

• 2+ years of professional software development experience

• Demonstrated understanding of secure coding techniques and requirements

• Knowledge of AWS services

• Demonstrated experience with Jira administration

• JavaScript & Python programming skills

• Experience with documentation tools and Markdown

• Familiarity with agile development methodologies

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
