SUMMARY 

The Graphics / Visual Communications Specialist will translate complex organizational and programmatic content into clear, professional, and visually compelling products for senior-level stakeholders — including GS-15 civilians, Senior Executive Service (SES) leaders, and flag officers.

This is a highly visible role requiring executive-caliber design judgment, discretion with sensitive material, and the ability to deliver polished products under tight, leadership-driven timelines. The Specialist works closely alongside the Organizational Change Management (OCM) team, translating change management content and stakeholder communications into finished visual products that support enterprise-wide initiatives.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS  

Active Secret security clearance and U.S. Citizenship required.

Must possess appropriate level of certifications as required.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the followingOther duties may be assigned. 

Visual Identity & Branding

  • Develop a cohesive visual identity for internal rebranding or organizational identity efforts, including logo and brand-mark options, and apply it consistently across products and platforms.

Executive Communications & Briefing Support

  • Design multiple executive-level briefing deck options (Microsoft PowerPoint) and standardized templates that present programmatic and organizational information clearly to senior leadership.

  • Produce executive publications, information papers, talking points, infographics, organizational charts, and informational materials for internal and external audiences.

  • Support the development of standardized messaging products and communication materials for enterprise and campaign-specific initiatives.

  • Provide material-preparation and visual-support for recurring leadership reviews and governance forums.

  • Standardize recurring communication products and contribute to supporting best practices, templates, and platform guidance.

  • Collaborate directly with the OCM Lead and OCM Specialist to design visuals supporting change management content, stakeholder materials, and leadership messaging.

Digital & Platform Content

  • Create and maintain graphics, layouts, and visual content for the client's SharePoint environment, organizing program and functional information so it is accessible and on-brand.

  • Ensure all digital and web-based products meet Section 508 accessibility standards (1194.22 and 1194.41).

Review & Coordination

  • Coordinate with government approval authorities to route products for review and clearance, incorporating feedback through iterative review cycles.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of four to seven (4-7) years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.

  • Prior experience supporting DoD or other federal government clients at the executive level.

  • Experience developing or refreshing organizational brand identities and rebranding initiatives.

  • Expert proficiency with industry-standard design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite — Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Microsoft PowerPoint.

  • Familiarity with SharePoint content design and governance.

  • Working knowledge of Section 508 accessibility requirements for digital and web-based products.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality products on leadership-driven timelines.

  • Experience with motion graphics, 3D, or data visualization is a plus

The estimated pay range for this role is $70,000 to $125,000, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
