A graphic designer conceptualises and executes a range of design projects, both big and small, managing a range of projects from inquiry and planning through to final delivery. This role will report into our Creative Lead EMEA, based in Cape Town. They will work closely with them on a mixture of projects, primarily for the MEA region but also Global and European as required. This role will work with a variety of stakeholders, and requires excellent communication skills throughout project lifecycles, to ensure the delivery of high-quality visual solutions that meet strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:Project Management: Working across multiple projects of different sizes simultaneously.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Working with key stakeholders to ensure project goals are met and communication is clear and effective.
Effective Communication: Articulating design concepts clearly to clients and team members, incorporating feedback and providing project updates to ensure cohesive project outcomes.
Troubleshooting and Conflict Resolution: Assisting with troubleshooting difficult project/client interactions and resolving communication barriers or conflicts to rebuild relationships, ensure smooth workflow, and maintain positive team dynamics.
Quality Assurance: Sharing their own work, and reviewing others, to help learn and understand expected quality standards and alignment with brand guidelines.
Backend Systems & Processes: Engaging and actively using the systems and processes that help streamline, plan and measure the design team’s everyday working.
Presentation Skills: Confidently presenting design concepts and final deliverables to internal clients and teams, explaining the rationale behind design choices.
Global Projects: Working into the Creative Lead EMEA on global initiatives as required.
Strategic Design: Creating high quality design work that aligns with the company's values, priorities, and strategic objectives. Typical design projects include: Brochures and Reports, Advertising, Event Graphics, Presentation design, Infographics.
Special Projects: Supporting senior members of the team when they are working on high-profile, complex design projects (such as global reports, annual reviews) These projects involve extensive planning, coordination and collaboration with stakeholders. This role over time will be asked to deliver on the smaller scale projects. They will also be asked to support the lead designer on large scale projects, helping on certain deliverables, incorporating feedback, and ensuring alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:- 3–5 years’ experience in graphic design (corporate or agency)
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, or a related field.
Knowledge of Design Software:
Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft PowerPoint
Ideally proficiency in: Adobe After Effects, Adobe Express, Adobe Premiere Pro
Skills Required
