Role: Graphic Designer

As a Graphic Designer at Health Catalyst, you’ll own the visual voice of a healthcare technology company positioned at the intersection of data, clinical outcomes, and real human stakes. The work spans the full range, from sales collateral to event materials to social campaign creative, and we’re looking for a strong creative operator to bring it all to life.
This is an early-career role for someone who already thinks like a graphic designer and is ready to grow alongside people who take the craft seriously and expect you to as well. You should also be ready to work closely with different stakeholders, taking their goals from concept to finished creative.
What you bring to this role:
Puts the work first. Open to feedback, willing to revise, and more invested in the outcome than the original idea.
Comfortable operating with ambiguity but knows when to ask a clarifying question rather than guess.
Can walk through their process and defend the decisions behind it, not just the final output.
Curious about design trends and the broader visual landscape, and brings that awareness into the work.
Believes strong design thinking travels across tools and formats, not just the ones they know best.
What you will own in this role:
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with a portfolio that demonstrates range across formats and use cases.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Word, with the ability to produce polished, brand-consistent output in both.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, track deadlines, and communicate proactively when priorities shift.
Strong visual communication skills, with an eye for typography, layout, and hierarchy across print and digital formats.
Familiarity with Figma is a plus.
Education & Relevant Experience
2+ years of design experience in an agency or professional setting preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing, or related field — or a strong portfolio demonstrating client or project work at a comparable level.

What We Do
Health Catalyst is dedicated to enabling health care organizations to fundamentally improve care by building the most comprehensive and fully integrated suite of healthcare data warehousing and process improvement solutions available. Health Catalyst was formed by a group of healthcare veterans with vast data warehousing and quality improvement experience. Our founders and executives collaborated for nearly a decade to revolutionize clinical process models using analytics. During development, they faced numerous hurdles in the quest to develop a data warehouse that could handle the complexities unique to healthcare data. After determining that the predominant approaches to data modeling weren’t effective for healthcare data, they discovered the solution, which is now known as the Adaptive Data Architecture. Using a late-binding bus architecture, Catalyst’s adaptive data model is agile, flexible, and can be implemented in a matter of weeks compared to the months or years traditional approaches require. Today at Health Catalyst, you’ll work with a team of experts who know that healthcare needs to change—and have made the change it needs a reality. Transforming healthcare is our passion.
