Company Description
Ubisoft Abu Dhabi is looking for a talented Graphic Designer to join our marketing team, who will mainly focus on marketing art and when needed assisting in game production. This is an individual contributor position and requires expertise in Photoshop, video editing and graphic design, a full understanding of lighting, value structure, composition and all aesthetic sensibilities required in creating industry competitive marketing visuals. Graphic Designer should have experience composing attractive and engaging ads including for mobile and be a team player on collaborations with members of the production team.
Job Description
What you’ll do:
- Actively participate in the production of highly engaging marketing graphic assets under the guidance of the marketing team.
- Be responsible for creating app store materials, social media assets, studio branding, in-game store icons/banners/promotions, presentations, and web and print media requests.
- Be responsible for creating engaging videos for the project and studio.
- Make sure that the graphic elements follow the style determined by the art direction and maintain consistency throughout the whole project.
- Transfer key marketing initiatives into high-quality consumer-facing visuals and video assets.
- Follow up on competitors to ensure that our products are always on the edge of the curve.
- Conduct effective visual research and reference gathering.
- Layout of new and existing marketing collateral following the corporate branding and style guidelines.
- Transfer in-game ideas/hooks into highly engaging marketing assets.
- Create clear and engaging CTA to increase conversion through marketing assets.
- Create designs for print media, such as merchandise, large-scale event installations, etc.
- Collaborate productively, communicating ideas and issues clearly across disciplines.
- Be responsive to deadlines and work well under pressure.
- Prioritise work against schedules and track assigned tasks.
Qualifications
What you’ll bring:
- Passion for the gaming industry.
- Specific experience should include online advertising, marketing, promotions, and events.
- Ability to effectively present ideas - both verbally and visually.
- Interest and ability to switch between different production roles.
- Knowledge of basic e-commerce principles.
- Aware of the technical constraints and demands of the advertising industry as well as the gaming industry.
- Knowledge of graphic/visual/stylistic trends in art, film and games.
- Excellent initiative, self-motivation, organisational and problem-solving skills, teamwork, and the ability to accept and follow directions.
- Any of the following would also be an advantage – video editing and experience with other 2d packages such as Illustrator or InDesign, use of Zbrush, After Effects, as well as photography and more traditional arts.
