Graphic Designer (UK)

Due to our rapid and exciting growth we are now looking to recruit new additional talent into our UK team based in our fantastic offices in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.

Vagaro is seeking a creative, ambitious, and driven designer to become part of our customer design team. This role is perfect for a passionate designer with an uncompromising attention to detail and excellent communication skills. You will collaborate with Vagaro Pro users and business owners to create effective and one-of-a-kind branding and marketing materials, including gift cards, logos and brand packages, custom websites, and branded apps.

Your creative flair & expert knowledge will play a key part in enabling the UK Beauty, Wellness & Fitness communities to benefit from all that Vagaro’s award-winning software has to offer. 

** This position requires full onsite availability in our Hertfordshire, GB Office

Experience / Requirements:

• 1-3 years of graphic design experience in a professional setting. 
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator & Photoshop). 
• Solid understanding of good design principles and photography, including composition, typography, and color theory. 
• Experience with Squarespace, Wix, or other website builders. 
• HTML/CSS knowledge is a plus. 
• BA or BFA with concentration in Graphic Design (preferred). 
• Ability to work in a variety of styles and is open to receiving and implementing feedback. 
• Ability to make decisions, solve problems, and priorities action steps using sound reasoning and judgment. 
• Strong communication skills to engage & inspire with business owners and other designers. 
• Customer service skills and experience as at Vagaro we pride ourselves on delivering 5-star service & support. 
• Highly organized & focused to manage a varied and busy workload. 
• A desire to excel, and to share your knowledge with your colleagues. 
• Passion and interest in beauty/salon, well-being or fitness industry would be welcome. 

Responsibilities:

• Help our Vagaro customers to ensure their businesses always look their best and have an outstanding on-line presence. 
• Collaborate with business owners to develop and create custom branding in alignment the owner’s wants and needs 
• Create unique custom websites, branded apps, and gift cards that coordinate with business’ existing brands 
• Review business portfolio images and Featured businesses to ensure they are consistent with Vagaro’s guidelines 
• Assist businesses with resizing and uploading Venue Gallery, digital Gift Certificate, and Pay Desk screensaver images 
• Create and curate a variety of assets and templates for use within the Vagaro Pro software 
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and create conceptually driven solutions 
• Keep current on digital campaigns, social trends, and industry technology to promote new ways of thinking, working, and problem-solving 
• This role also includes asset curation and creation, image management, and outreach ensure high awareness of the professional & creative services we offer.

Please note

• This is an office-based role to maximize learning, teamwork, and enjoyment. 
• Typical standard office hours will be 09.00 to 17.30 Monday to Friday. 
• One day per week you will need to flex your hours to 11.00 – 19.00 to collaborate with our global team based in San Francisco.
