OverviewThe Graphic Designer brings Sentara’s brand to life through compelling visual design across a variety of digital and print channels. This role supports enterprise-wide campaigns, business-as-usual (BAU) requests, and service-line needs—translating strategy and messaging into on-brand, audience-focused creative. The designer collaborates closely with copywriters, project managers, and intake/campaign teams to deliver high-quality design assets that meet both creative and compliance standards.
This position balances creativity with production efficiency, navigating tight deadlines and shifting priorities while maintaining design integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop digital and print creative assets including ads, flyers, emails, landing pages, social graphics, and signage.
Translate campaign concepts and messaging into visually compelling designs that support marketing goals.
Apply Sentara’s brand standards, visual guidelines, and accessibility requirements across all projects.
Collaborate with writers and campaign leads to align visuals with messaging and strategy.
Incorporate stakeholder feedback while maintaining strong visual direction and brand alignment.
Prepare and package files for internal publishing, email platforms, or vendor handoff as needed.
Support Creative Services team members in ideation, QA, and templated design production.
Skills & Experience:
Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop); Figma or Canva experience a plus
Strong portfolio of digital and print design work
Ability to manage multiple design projects and prioritize effectively
Familiarity with healthcare, compliance, or regulated industries preferred
Attention to detail, consistency, and commitment to brand alignment
Bachelor's level degree (4 years of related experience in lieu of education)
No specific certification or licensure requirements
3 years related experience in digital marketing, marketing, public relations, and IT
We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is: $62,212.80 - $101,254.40. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities
