This is not a one-dimensional role—this person will wear many hats, balancing hands-on creative execution with the flexibility to jump into a variety of fast-moving projects. From newsletters and social media content to technical infographics, executive presentations, and public outreach materials, you’ll help shape how communities engage with infrastructure in Florida and beyond.
You’ll be responsible for the design and layout of a wide range of materials including internal and external newsletters, presentations, proposals, reports, infographics, brochures, maps, and digital campaigns. Experience managing e-newsletter design and platforms (like Mailchimp or Constant Contact) is a major plus. You'll also help build and manage libraries of visual assets, including photography, icons, and templates that support our public-facing and internal communications.

What You'll Do:
- Creates print and digital materials for proposals, including templates, charts, maps, infographics, covers and layout.
- Creates print and digital materials for presentations, including PowerPoints, leave-behinds, and display boards.
- Creates print and digital materials for PR and internal communications, including brochures, ads, and announcements.
- Brainstorms new ideas and creates concepts for visually communicating key messages.
- Maintains and organizes digital assets such as icons, photography, and stock graphics.
- Coordinates with print vendors and photographers.
- May review and approve final graphics.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
- Associates Degree in Art, Graphic Design or related field and 3 years of relevant experience, or
- In lieu of education 5 years of relevant experience
What You'll Bring:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects, with the ability to independently execute design tasks from concept to delivery.
- Ability to translate complex ideas, data, and technical information into engaging visual materials such as infographics, charts, and illustrations.
- Experience designing and managing digital newsletters using platforms like Mailchimp or Constant Contact, including layout, formatting, testing, and basic platform features.
- Strong command of presentation design, including PowerPoint and Word, with the ability to create custom templates and visuals that support storytelling for both internal and external audiences.
- Excellent understanding of typography and layout principles, with attention to accessibility, hierarchy, and brand consistency.
- Willingness to take initiative and work independently while effectively collaborating with writers, engineers, and strategists across teams.
- Experience managing multiple projects at once in a deadline-driven environment, including last-minute requests.
- Willingness to contribute to internal team training or knowledge sharing (e.g., lunch and learns, tip sessions, file management best practices).
What We Prefer:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Art, or a related field.
- Experience in the architecture, engineering, or transportation infrastructure industry (A/E/C).
- Familiarity with motion graphics, video editing, or 2D/3D visualization tools such as SketchUp is a plus.
- Experience supporting public engagement, communications, or marketing campaigns is a bonus.
