Graphic Designer, F&B:  

Location: London Headquarters, UK

Reports to: Visual Design Manager

Contract: Fixed Term, Full-Time Contract until 31st December 2025

Your role @CHANEL: Design and manage Graphic Design within F&B | Design & Create local initiatives | Project manage and support wider design team

The Graphic Designer will design, support and manage a wide range of 2D and occasionally 3D projects supporting retail activities within the Fragrance and Beauty division of CHANEL UK. You will work across multiple departments including Marketing, Retail, Sales, PR, Digital and Training as well as other areas of expertise within the local Design team. You will report to the Visual Design Manager and have the opportunity to work with the wider design team, including within the UK Region. This role will work cross functionally and engaging and communicating closely with our supplier network will also be key.

What impact you can create at Chanel:

Graphic Creative: You will be responsible for the majority of 2D design supporting retail activities within the Fragrance and Beauty division of CHANEL UK. The responsibilities include:

  • Upholding the guidelines and visual identity of an iconic brand
  • Designing a wide range of on-counter support material, internal documents and campaign collateral
  • Creating layouts, documents, proofs and artwork for a wide variety of teams including e-com, e-retail, marketing, retail, training, travel retail, PR and more
  • Supporting the Visual Designer’s and Visual Design Manager across 3D projects such as PR events and conferences, developing your skillset across both 2D and 3D design
  • Creating graphic proposals, mock-ups, layouts, proofs, and artwork for production and print along with managing approvals for croppings and visual guidelines
  • Designing with a CSR mindset using sustainable thinking
  • Working within global guidelines to produce visually exceptional campaign collateral
  • Project managing multiple tasks ensuring strict timelines are kept
  • Meeting regularly with project stakeholders to refine work where necessary
  • Working closely with the local design team and wider VM team to ensure successful completion of projects to an exceptional standard
  • Working fluidly across the wider team with the ability to ‘wear many hats’
  • Managing day-to-day contact with suppliers, vendors and other departments as required
  • Completing any other tasks deemed appropriate for the role

What you will bring to the role:

  • Strong interest in Graphic design
  • Adobe Suite knowledge is a must (especially InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop)
  • Any previous experience within the industry is preferable
  • Qualification in a design subject is desirable
  • Ability to design with a CSR mindset and sustainable thinking
  • Fluent in the Microsoft suite of programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc)
  • 3D design experience a bonus
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work proactively in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Be curious and collaborative
  • Team player mindset with the ability to confidently work self-sufficiently
  • Able to commute to a London-based office
