Position Summary:

As the Graphics Design Manager, you will lead a dynamic team of graphic designers, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality visual content aligned with Really Good Stuff's strategy and goals. This role is not just about design; it's about inspiring creativity, fostering innovation, and influencing the educational landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of graphic designers, focusing on projects for the "Really Good Stuff" brand.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and innovation within the team, particularly in developing engaging marketing materials for an educational products company.

Design and Creative Direction:

  • Oversee the creation of digital and print materials for "Really Good Stuff," including educational products catalogs, classroom resources, social media graphics, emails, and promotional materials.
  • Provide creative direction on "Really Good Stuff" brand strategy, ensuring designs align with the brand's identity, messaging, and educational market positioning.
  • Review and approve designs, artwork, photography, and graphics developed by the team, ensuring they meet the specific needs of the educational sector.

Project Management:

  • Manage multiple design projects from concept through completion for the "Really Good Stuff" brand, meeting quality standards, deadlines, and budget requirements.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to marketing campaigns for the "Really Good Stuff" brand.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat), Wrike, Figma, and familiar with Macintosh OS and Microsoft Office.
  • Stay updated with the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies, especially those relevant to educational materials and products.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with marketing executives to conceptualize and implement design solutions that meet marketing strategies for "Really Good Stuff."
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful project execution.
  • Engage in matrix reporting with the Senior Director of Creative Services at One Supplies for integrated brand strategy alignment.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree Graduate in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of graphic design experience, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of digital and print design work, ideally in the educational sector. Examples of previous portfolio projects managed from start to finish are appreciated.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
