Primary Job Description: The Graphic Design & Communications Coordinator supports Planters Bank’s strategic communications and marketing efforts by creating high-quality visual and written communications and coordinating the day-to-day execution of marketing initiatives across the organization. This hands-on role supports graphic design, content development, digital and print materials, internal communications, social media, website content, presentations, promotional materials, and marketing project coordination. Working closely with the FVP/Strategic Communications & Marketing, the Coordinator translates the Bank’s strategic priorities into clear, professional, and consistent communications while protecting and strengthening the Planters Bank brand across all markets and channels.

Location: The location for this position may be flexible based on where the applicant is located as well as office space availability within our Planters Bank system. This position may require some travel.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Equipment Skills and Other Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing, Visual Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Two to four years of professional experience in graphic design, communications, marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous banking, financial services, professional services, or agency experience is a plus but not required.
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong print and digital design capabilities required.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Experience with Canva or similar design platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and the ability to create polished executive and business presentations.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms and digital content best practices.
  • Basic photography and video-editing capabilities preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, project coordination skills, and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to take strategic or creative direction and independently translate it into finished work.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with employees and leaders across departments and markets.
  • Strong judgment regarding brand consistency, professionalism, and confidential information.
  • Satisfactory Background and Credit Bureau Report.
