Role Summary

We are currently seeking a Graphic and Motion Designer to join our team, this is a fixed term contract role serving as maternity leave cover up to one year.

As the Graphic and Motion Designer, you will be tasked with producing engaging designs and videos that align with our business objectives and client requirements. Additionally, you will support the team in enhancing their video and motion graphic skills, utilising your expertise to elevate our brand.

The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for design and video and a remarkable creative flair for generating dynamic concepts that appeal to both B2B and B2C audiences. You will collaborate closely with a global team located in the UK, US, and India, working alongside both internal stakeholders and external clients. For more intricate projects, you will liaise with senior team members on graphic design and storyboarding, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and striving for the most compelling results.

This role operates in a fast-paced environment, and we are looking for someone capable of developing impactful, original, and innovative ideas with precision and creativity. Core Duties/Responsibilities

  • Maintain and uphold high creative standards across all projects.
  • Monitor the review channel and actively participate in peer reviewing to ensure quality control.
  • Ensure adherence to the artwork checklist and perform pre-press checks for accuracy.
  • Ensure all files worked on are on creative server and ensure data security.
  • Participate in the daily resource huddles to optimise team operations.
  • Be responsible for your own files added to the EQ brand library assets for easy accessibility and organisation.
  • Participate in inbox shift and contribute to efficient work allocation.
  • Adhere strictly to brand governance and standards to maintain consistency.
  • Assist in implementing brand communication and risk policies.
  • Complete compliance training within the designated time frame.
  • Support and mentor the US designer, as well as the India and UK teams with video skills
  • Actively participate in team meetings to contribute ideas and insights.
  • Create artwork aligned with the strategic vision of the EQ brand.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies in design and innovation.
  • Interpret the business needs of clients and develop creative concepts.
  • Work on strategic client communication plans to effectively convey messages.
  • Design high-profile campaigns, including video and motion graphics.
  • Create storyboards and develop video/motion graphics.
  • Design assets for social media platforms to enhance brand presence.
  • Meet with clients and internal stakeholders to understand requirements.
  • Attend stakeholder meetings to provide creative input and insights.
  • Address queries and manage conflicts while on your inbox shifts.
  • Provide support for training initiatives in India.

Skills, Capabilities and Attributes

  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates your ability to develop and execute impactful, original, and innovative design concepts.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an in-house environment or agency 
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud; InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro and Acrobat (essential)
  • Have strong PowerPoint skills and experience (essential)
  • Possess excellent typography skills (essential)
  • Proven track record of creative and innovative thinking/design work
  • Good attention to detail
  • Clear and compelling communication style (written and verbal) 
  • Experience creating storyboards and animations from a script.

Desirable Skills

  • A foundational understanding of UX principles and accessibility best practices across digital touchpoints.
  • Photography.
  • A flair for presenting.
  • Understanding of data visualisation best practice.
