The Grants Administration Program Consultant will support activities associated with the planning and delivery of a grants management office and technical assistance program. The role will focus on supporting the coordination and implementation of technical assistance activities; development and refinement of grants management resources, tools, and training materials; tracking and analyzing program activities and outcomes; and supporting engagement with state and local governments, Tribal governments, non-profits, and small business partners. The ideal candidate brings experience in public sector program management, grant administration, technical assistance, and cross-functional coordination.
This contract-based position will require monthly client site visits across Wyoming, as needed, but will be otherwise remote.
Responsibilities for the Grants Administration Program Consultant Include:

Support delivery of technical assistance services across the grant lifecycle, including grant identification, grant writing, and post-award compliance activities.

Facilitate relationships with clients, furthering relationships, networking with stakeholders and overseeing collaboration across numerous offices.

Support the planning, coordination, and implementation of a grants management office and technical assistance program.

Engage with diverse stakeholders to understand community/organization needs and challenges and develop practical solutions.

Support the development, review, and refinement of grants management resources, tools, templates, guidance, and other technical assistance materials.

Research and interpret federal and state grant requirements, funding opportunities, and grants management best practices to inform technical assistance activities and resources.

Collaborate with team members and client staff to advance coordinated solutions aligned with broader client objectives.
Qualifications for the Grants Administration Program Consultant Include:

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college; preferred degree in public policy, public administration, social sciences, political science, or a related field of study.

5+ years of professional experience supporting government programs, preferably experience with state-level grant program management and implementation.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse public and private sector stakeholders to understand organizational needs, identify challenges, and develop practical solutions.

Previous experience supporting grant administration, compliance monitoring, subrecipient oversight, or program governance activities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with special attention to political and situational awareness.

Strong stakeholder coordination and communication skills, including experience working with clients, external partners, and leadership teams
Compensation for the Grants Administration Program Consultant Includes:
- Salary range of $105,000 - $135,000. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and training, licensure and certifications, internal equity, location, travel requirements, and other business and organizational needs.
