A Brief Overview
Responsible for managing the financial administration of grants, ensuring compliance with grant agreements, funding regulations, and organizational policies. Accountable for monitoring grant budgets, prepares financial reports, analyzes expenditures, and works closely with program managers to ensure proper use of grant funds throughout the grant lifecycle.
What you will do
- Grant Financial Management • Monitor grant revenues and expenditures to ensure funds are used in accordance with grant agreements and approved budgets. • Maintain accurate financial records for all assigned grants within the accounting system. • Review and approve grant-related expenses for allowability and compliance.
- Budget Monitoring and Analysis • Track grant spending and compare actual expenditures against approved budgets. • Provide financial analysis and forecasts related to grant funding and program expenditures. • Identify potential budget variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Financial Reporting • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for grant-funded programs. • Submit financial reports to grantors in accordance with reporting requirements and deadlines. • Support grant closeout procedures and final financial reporting.
- Compliance and Audit Support • Ensure compliance with grant requirements, including federal, state, and private funding guidelines. • Maintain documentation to support grant expenditures and reporting. • Assist with internal and external audits related to grant-funded programs.
- Collaboration and Support • Work closely with program managers and department staff to monitor grant budgets and expenditures. • Provide financial guidance related to grant management and allowable costs. • Assist with budget preparation for grant proposals and funding applications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Required
- Minimum 2 years experience of accounting, finance, or grant management experience. Required and
- Experience with nonprofit, government, or federally funded grants. Preferred
- Familiarity with federal grant regulations (e.g., Uniform Guidance / 2 CFR 200). Preferred
