The Grant Writer will be responsible for researching, drafting, and submitting compelling grant proposals to secure funding from corporations, and government agencies. This role plays a key part in supporting the organization’s mission by generating sustainable revenue through strategic grant funding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and identify prospective grant opportunities aligned with organizational goals
  • Write, edit, and submit grant proposals, letters of inquiry (LOIs), and supporting documents
  • Develop persuasive narratives that clearly articulate programs, impact, and funding needs
  • Collaborate with leadership and program teams to gather data, budgets, and impact metrics
  • Maintain a grant calendar to track deadlines, reporting requirements, and submissions
  • Prepare grant reports and ensure compliance with funder requirements
  • Track grant outcomes and maintain accurate records in CRM or database systems
  • Build and maintain relationships with foundation and corporate partners
  • Assist in developing fundraising strategies and annual development plans

Pay Rate: Starting $25-$30 per hour


RequirementsQualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in grant writing or nonprofit development and 6 figure gifts
  • Proven track record of securing foundation, corporate, or government funding (preferred)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong research, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and grant databases
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of nonprofit compliance and reporting standards
  • Experience developing program budgets
  • Familiarity with donor management systems (Salesforce, Bloomerang, etc.)
