Informa Markets, a division within Informa, creates global platforms for industries. We organise over 500 large-scale branded and transaction-oriented events in 14 specialist markets. These are typically not-to-be-missed annual events where buyers and sellers build relationships, see and show products and do business.

We also provide year-round online platforms where companies showcase their businesses and products and buyers conduct research, generating valuable leads, and we provide data and digital content that supports the flow of knowledge and transactions in markets.

Job Description

About the Program:

Informa Markets Asia offers a Graduate Trainee Programme that jumpstarts your career in event industry. Gain hands-on experience and contribute to high-profile B2B global exhibitions and conferences. Work closely with professionals, develop event sales management skills, and gain valuable insights.

Your Journey:

Receive structured guidance and support from mentors. Undergo a 1-year program with rotations in different areas with a strong focus on sales and client facing related area included but not limit to:

Sales:

  • Support the sales team in achieving revenue through booth sales, digital sales, sponsorship / advertisement and fully integrated packages to new and existing customers across products and various revenue streams 
  • Generate leads through various channels through outbound calling, attendance at industry related events and market searching
  • Prepare compelling sales pitches and presentations.
  • To assist handling on-site re-booking
  • Assist in building and maintaining client relationships in a professional manner.
  • Customer database system management

Marketing:

  • Engaged in Customer Relationship Management.
  • Assist in the development and execution of various event marketing campaigns.
  • Create engaging marketing collateral (e.g., brochures, website content, social media posts).
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Analyze campaign performance and provide data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Event Operations:

  • Contribute to logistics planning and execution for events.
  • Provide on-site support during events, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Assist with event management tasks, including vendor coordination and attendee registration.
  • Support overdue payment collection for accounts together with sales operations team

Qualifications

Who are we looking for?

  • Recent graduate (within the past 1 year) with a degree in Sales and Marketing, International Business Management, CRM, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Passionate about the event industry with a strong desire to build a career in event sales or B2B international sales management.
  • Extrovert with excellent communication and interpersonal skills is a must, with the ability to interact confidently with internal teams, external stakeholders and clients around the world professionally.
  • High level of enthusiasm, fast learner, highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent in both written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) and English is a must.
