Job Description

QAD is seeking an Graduate Trainee, QA Automation & Manual Engineer who will perform professional Quality Assurance functions outlined below. Non-complex testing activities are performed independently.
Maintain the automated functional tests and integration tests. You will also be responsible for
analyzing results and maintaining communication with functional teams and writing/updating the
automated test scripts.

What you’ll do:

● Execute manual and/or automated tests and ensure test completion. Document, retest and
track defects until resolved. Define, produce, maintain and report applicable test metrics.
● Regularly monitor test results, Analyze issues identified during tests and identify the source of
defect as functional, data or test case.
● Maintain the test scripts and test cases as per quality standards and procedures
● Become familiar with the functional aspects of the application.
● Create / update documentation as required and maintain communication with stakeholders.
● Maintain proficiency in new testing tools enabling patch testing by training formally and
informally.

Qualifications

● Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business or quality assurance.
● 0 to 1 years experience in a Software quality testing environment.
● Certifications in software testing/test automation, including use of test automation tools such
as Selenium or Jmeter.
● Understanding of the software development lifecycle and proficiency in testing
methodologies, including automation, functional, integration, and system testing.
● Knowledge of Python or similar scripting language, preferably with experience in a test
automation context.
● API testing experience, an advantage but not essential .
● Experience working with a test management tool, an advantage but not essential.
● Good communication skills - you will need to collaborate closely with Quality Group
colleagues, as well as other QAD QAs, developers, business analysts, and project managers,
to ensure a clear understanding of requirements.
● Passion to learn new technologies and systems with a high degree of ownership.
● Ability to be flexible and team-oriented, with good interpersonal skills, the ability to balance
multiple tasks, and the ability to adapt or change approaches.
