ROLE PROFILE:
As a Graduate Software Developer, you will work alongside experienced developers on the design, development, and maintenance of Java-based applications. This is an ideal opportunity for recent graduates who are eager to kickstart their career in software development within a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of Java applications
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices
Requirements:
- BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles
- Proficiency in Java, with academic or project-based experience
- Familiarity with common Java frameworks such as Spring or Hibernate (desirable)
- Knowledge of databases and SQL
- Basic understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a professional development environment
Desirable (not required):
- Internship or placement experience in a software development role
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services
