Career Pathway & Development Structure
This is a 1–3 year development journey that helps graduates explore both technical and business career directions. With structured learning, mentoring, customer-facing practice, cross-functional collaboration, and potential cross-city exposure, GSEs will gradually build the skills, confidence, and professional network needed for long-term growth at NI.
1–3 Year Development Journey:
Foundation: Build a strong foundation in NI products, LabVIEW, DAQ, test and measurement fundamentals, customer scenarios, and business processes through structured onboarding and guided learning.
Exposure: Learn through real customer cases, technical applications, marketing and community engagement, cross-functional teamwork, and potential exposure to different cities and market environments.
Career Readiness: Grow toward a long-term career direction through mentoring, regular feedback, development check-ins, and alignment with technical, business, innovation, or customer solution opportunities.
Program Support: You will be supported by structured learning, mentoring, 1:1 coaching, customer-facing assignments, and regular development conversations. The program is designed to help graduates build technical confidence, business awareness, and customer engagement skills in a supportive global company environment.
Development Exposure & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with technical, sales, customer success, and commercial teams to understand end-to-end customer engagement and solution delivery
Gain practical exposure to technical applications, customer discovery, solution configuration, opportunity support, and commercial execution
Participate in customer-facing projects, events, community activities, and business reviews to build both technical depth and market understanding
Depending on business planning, GSEs may also have opportunities to gain experience across different cities to broaden market exposure and customer coverage understanding
Target Permanent Placement & Dual-Track Career Pathways:
GSEs typically grow toward a permanent role within 1–3 years, depending on individual development, strengths, available opportunities, and business needs.
In China, long-term placement is designed around multiple career exits across technical, business, innovation, and customer solution pathways, allowing each GSE to grow toward the direction that best matches individual strengths and business needs.
Final placement will be guided by ongoing coaching, development feedback, individual strengths, career interests, and organizational priorities.
