We're looking for a Graduate Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team in Porto, Portugal. This is an excellent opportunity to begin your career in software testing, developing your technical skills while helping to ensure the quality and reliability of our software.

What we are looking for…

We're seeking a Graduate Quality Assurance Engineer to support the testing of new and existing software across the business. Working alongside experienced QA Engineers and closely with our Applications and Product teams, you'll learn how to plan and carry out effective testing, identify and investigate defects, and develop automated tests.

You'll build your knowledge of QA tools, processes and methodologies, with the opportunity to progress into a Quality Assurance Engineer role as your experience develops.

This role is based at our office in Porto, Portugal.

Key responsibilities of the role…

Testing & Quality Assurance:

  • Create and maintain clear, well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Carry out manual and regression testing across new and existing software
  • Identify, document and track software defects through to resolution
  • Review requirements and technical information to support effective testing
  • Maintain test results and relevant quality assurance metrics

Automation & Continuous Improvement:

  • Develop and execute automated tests with support from experienced colleagues
  • Identify opportunities to improve testing processes and increase automation
  • Keep up to date with new testing tools, technologies and approaches
  • Support improvements that increase the speed, accuracy and reliability of software testing

Collaboration & Development:

  • Work closely with QA, Applications and Product colleagues to understand system and release requirements
  • Investigate software issues and support their effective resolution
  • Develop your technical knowledge of Content Guru products and Quality Assurance practices
  • Learn from experienced QA Engineers and actively build the skills required to progress within the team

About you…

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
  • Keen interest in technology, software and Quality Assurance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organisation and time management skills
  • Able to communicate technical information clearly
  • Strong IT and computer literacy
  • A proactive approach to learning and developing new technical skills
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or similar database technology would be advantageous
  • A Master's degree in a relevant subject would be advantageous
