AECOM has been appointed by the Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority (GIICA) as the Delivery Partner for the $7.1 billion Games Venues Infrastructure Program. Together with our joint venture partner Laing O’Rourke, we are supporting the delivery of 17 new and upgraded sport, recreation and entertainment venues across Queensland for 2032 and beyond.
As a Graduate Project Manager, you’ll join our collaborative Project and Program Management team and gain hands-on experience supporting the delivery of major infrastructure projects. You’ll develop your project management skills across the full project lifecycle - from planning and design through to delivery and operation.
How you’ll make a difference:
- Support the delivery of major infrastructure projects by assisting with schedule, budget, cost and quality tracking.
- Help prepare and manage project documentation, reports, presentations and stakeholder communications.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to monitor project progress and identify risks, issues and opportunities.
- Assist with project planning, procurement, coordination and delivery activities.
- Contribute to project governance, reporting and project controls.
- Support effective communication and collaboration with clients, contractors, consultants and other stakeholders.
- Gain exposure to projects across sectors including sport and entertainment, transport, water and renewable energy.
- Contribute to projects from initial planning through to delivery, developing the skills and experience needed to build a successful career in project management.

Qualifications- Graduate Attributes: We’re seeking graduates with strong communication and teamwork skills, a proactive and adaptable mindset, and a commitment to professionalism and integrity.
- Bachelor’s Degree: You must be in your final year or completed a Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Civil Engineering with an interest in project management.
- You must have completed your studies and have graduated before starting the program. We encourage candidates with 1 - 3 years experience to apply.
- Working Rights: You must have full working rights to work in Australia or New Zealand before applying. We do accept candidates with student and graduate visas.
