Early Career Programs are critical to building tomorrow’s workforce in Technology. As demand for technology continues to gain pace, we recognise that attracting and nurturing the next generations of technologists is key to the role we play in the Australian economy and building a brighter future for all.

As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for designing and delivering the 12–18-month rotational program experience for our Technology Graduates. You will drive and deliver various initiatives to simplify and scale our growing program. You will contribute to the strategy of our market presence and engagement with early career talent pipelines. You will add value with your ability to creatively problem solve, and project manage multi-year talent strategies.

This role works in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. You will enjoy working autonomously as well collaborating with peers and leaders, often to tight deadlines. The ability to manage your workload and progress projects through ambiguity is essential in this role.

You will partner with a close group of stakeholders in Campus Recruitment, Learning and the community of hiring managers and leaders in the business, who are all passionate about early careers talent. You will be an experience maker for Graduates and Interns and a catalyst for their engagement into CommBank Technology.

Technology is responsible for the world-leading application of technology across every single aspect of CommBank – from innovative product platforms for our customers, to essential tools within our business. This program is rapidly growing to support our talent strategy in key technical areas of Engineering, Data Science and Cyber, and you will be aligned to one of these streams.

The Technology Graduate Programs team sits within HR and partners with the business leaders to design and facilitate their Programs. We support the identification and development of high potential people at the start of their careers to build the workforce of tomorrow. We are attracting and empowering up and coming talent to accelerate their career at CommBank make their experience memorable. 

We’re looking for you

This is a full-time, permanent position ideally based in Sydney or Melbourne (due to the requirement to attend events). You will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Drive the delivery of exceptional graduate and intern experiences in the key moments that matter from onboarding, technical learning, rotations and through to program roll-off
  • Partner with business leaders, HR colleagues and stakeholders to drive exceptional program outcomes
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous learning
  • Enhance our market presence and engagement strategy with early career pipelines
  • Be a face for the Programs and present at various internal & external events
  • Identify and deliver people experience and process improvement opportunities, using data to drive insight and seek out opportunities to scale up and increase efficiency
  • Work closely with Campus teams to support recruitment and learning events as part of the group wide Graduate Program
  • Track and measure program effectiveness, in line with key program performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with international colleagues and support the expansion of the Graduate program in our India Offices.

We're interested in hearing from people who are

  • Experienced in early career engagement and program management
  • Experience in delivering on projects and change initiatives
  • Experienced in project planning and managing project resources
  • Excellent at time management, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Comfortable with both delivering autonomously and co-authoring solutions with colleagues
  • Excited to collaborate and partner with multiple stakeholders with differing needs and priorities
  • Comfortable to navigate ambiguity in a large, fast paced and complex organisation.
  • Passionate about supporting Early Careers Talent
  • Highly proficient in all MS Office tools
