Warum das Stanley Leadership Program (SLP)?

Das Stanley Black & Decker Leadership Program (SLP) ist unser renommiertes Graduateprogramm zur gezielten Entwicklung zukünftiger Führungskräfte. Es richtet sich an Hochschulabsolventinnen und -absolventen mit erster Praxiserfahrung sowie einem passenden ingenieurwissenschaftlichen oder wirtschaftsnahen Studium, die ihre langfristige Karriere im Bereich CAE Engineering aufbauen möchten.

Im Engineering-SLP durchläufst Du in der Regel drei Rotationen von jeweils etwa 8 Monaten in den Bereichen Engineering, Product Management und Operations – an verschiedenen Standorten in Deutschland und möglicherweise auch international. Deine Reise startet in einer hybriden Position in Idstein.

Jede Station bietet Dir spannende Projektaufgaben, durch die Du unser Geschäft, unsere Prozesse und die Erfolgsfaktoren unserer Standorte intensiv kennenlernst – und von Anfang an selbst einen echten Beitrag leistest.

Der Job:

Im Rahmen des SLP bist Du Teil unseres Engineering-Teams und sammelst durch wechselnde Einsätze, Projekte und Teams im Abstand von 6 bis 12 Monaten wertvolle und breit gefächerte Erfahrungen.

Dabei wirst Du:

  • zentrale fachliche und persönliche Kompetenzen im Bereich Engineering aufbauen.
  • eng mit anderen Fachbereichen zusammenarbeiten und so cross-funktionale Zusammenarbeit aktiv erleben.
  • an vielfältigen Austausch- und Networking-Möglichkeiten mit unserem Program Team, Führungskräften und anderen SLP-Talenten teilnehmen.
  • bei erfolgreicher Entwicklung Unterstützung für mögliche Anschlussrollen erhalten, in denen Du Deine aufgebauten Fähigkeiten weiter vertiefen kannst.

Das bringst Du mit

Du hast Lust zu lernen, Dich weiterzuentwickeln und mit Deinen Ideen sichtbar etwas zu bewegen. Innovation schreckt Dich nicht ab – im Gegenteil: Du möchtest sie aktiv mitgestalten. Außerdem bringst Du idealerweise Folgendes mit:

  • ein Masterstudium in Maschinenbau, Mechanik, Computational Engineering, Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik, Physik oder einem vergleichbaren Studiengang.
  • sehr gute Kenntnisse in Festigkeitslehre, Strukturmechanik, Dynamik, Materialmodellierung und Lebensdauer-/Ermüdungsprognosen.
  • idealerweise Erfahrung mit folgenden Tools und Programmen:
    • Finite-Elemente-Analyse (FEA): Ansys, LS-Dyna, OptiStruct, Radioss
    • Fatigue-Life-Post-Processing: FEMFAT, Ncode Design Life
    • 3D-CAD: Dassault CATIA V5
  • Interesse daran, neue Simulations- und Optimierungsmethoden zu entwickeln und mit FEA-Software sowie Parametrierungs- und Optimierungstools umzusetzen.
  • Du bist Berufseinsteiger/in oder hast weniger als zwei Jahre Berufserfahrung, idealerweise ergänzt durch mindestens ein Praktikum oder eine Werkstudierenden-/Trainee-Erfahrung im Engineering-Umfeld.
  • erkennbares Leadership-Potenzial, ein gutes professionelles Urteilsvermögen sowie echte Neugier und Begeisterung für die Funktion und die Branche.
  • sehr gute Englischkenntnisse sowie gute Deutschkenntnisse – und die Motivation, diese weiter auszubauen.

Why SLP (Stanley Leadership Development Program)?

The Stanley Black & Decker Leadership Development Program (“SLP”) is a prestigious rotational program and an integrated process designed to accelerate the development of our future leaders. It is geared toward recent graduates with initial practical experience as well as a relevant engineering or business-related degree and a passion for a long-term career in CAE Engineering.

Engineering SLP participants complete approximately three 8-month rotations in the areas of Engineering, Product Management, and Operations at various locations in Germany (+ possibly abroad). This hybrid role begins in Idstein. Each rotation includes project assignments that enable participants to become familiar with how we do business and contribute to the success of the respective site.

Our program offers valuable experiences for early-career professionals seeking challenging development opportunities to jump-start their careers.

The Job:

As part of the SLP program, you will be a member of our Engineering team and will have the opportunity to gain broad experience through rotations across assignments, projects, and teams every 6–12 months. 

  • Build core professional skills and competencies in Engineering, including cross-functional collaboration with other departments
  • Participate in numerous exchange and networking opportunities with our dedicated Program Team, Leadership and SLP peers.
  • Receive support, upon successful performance, in being placed into potential follow-on roles that might continue to train acquired skills

The Person:

You love to learn, grow, and be recognized for your valuable contributions. Innovation does not intimidate you. In addition, you bring the following:

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanics, Computational Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or similar
  • Very good background in solid mechanics, structural mechanics, dynamics, material modeling, fatigue life prediction
  • Preferred software and program experience:
    Finite Element Analysis Software (FEA: Ansys/LS-Dyna, OptiStruct/Radioss),
    Fatigue Life Post-Processing (FEMFAT/Ncode Design Life),
    3D CAD (Dassault CATIA v5)
  • Drive the development of new simulation and optimization methods and execute them by using FEA software and parameter optimization tools
  • Recent graduates or early-career professionals with less than two years of professional experience, including at least one internship or co-op in an engineering-related roleDemonstrated leadership potential, strong professional judgement, and a genuine passion and curiosity for the function and industry
  • Excellent English skills as well as good German language skills, combined with the ambition to further develop proficiency
