Job Title: Graduate Engineer

The job

The AVEVA Operation Centre (AOC) Graduate Engineer is responsible for working as part of a team that delivers and supports software implementations, which meet our customer’s requirements for AOC and DT.

The consultant will also be involved in implementing projects in Information Management / Digital twin domain for customers.

The consultant is engaged in the implementation from contract signing, to the final delivery and customer hand over of the project. Familiarity to O&G and Petrochemical business is highly desirable. 

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out service engagements with customers, including the implementation of standard and customised solutions, training, requirements gathering & analysis, solution definition and software customization. 

  • Provide product usage support to customers. 

  • Liaise with Global teams in solution development, documentation, deployment and delivery. 

  • Ensuring the project is delivered as designed on time and within budget and to the satisfaction of the customer. 

  • Act as primary customer interface to ensure proposed solutions meet their business needs. 

  • Act as technical Point of Contact for on-going support of critical customers that need on-going technical relationship management. 

  • Develop sound and trusted relationships with internal and external customers by providing accurate and efficient technical/engineering support. 

  • Respond to customer inquiries, questions, and issues by diagnosing problems and providing the most appropriate technical solution in an accurate and timely manner. 

  • Ability to travel to customer sites.

Essential requirements

  • Educated to bachelor’s degree level either in Chemical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline. 

  • Prior hands-on experience with AOC, DT and legacy Wonderware products. 

Desired skills

  • Basic scripting /programming knowledge (PowerShell, SQL, JavaScript, C#) 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server or other relational databases. 
  • Knowledge of Windows Server features such as IIS, COM+. 
  • Ability to troubleshoot implementations in a systematic way and bring in technical aid as needed. 
  • Understand abstract concepts such as classes, objects, attributes, associations. 
  • Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to produce technical specifications and training material. 

  • Experience from working with Global Industries and EPC within the mentioned areas is preferred. 

  • Prior hands-on experience in HMI development and designing. 

  • Fluent in English (written & spoken).
