Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities
  • Support and drive Lean behaviors, principles, and tools across the GE BEL plant to strengthen the continuous improvement culture.

  • Work closely with Frontline Leaders, PTLs, the PQ Team, Metals Team, shop floor operators, employees, and other stakeholders to identify and progress improvement opportunities.

  • Engage regularly with employees on the shop floor to encourage idea generation and participation in Lean and continuous improvement activities.

  • Coordinate the review of improvement ideas with relevant stakeholders and support approved ideas through implementation.

  • Serve as a central coordination point for Lean activities and guide approximately 5–6 supporting Lean resources, including PA/PAT resources and KPOs dedicated to Lean-related activities outside the production line.

  • Schedule and coordinate Kaizen walkthroughs with relevant functions and stakeholders.

  • Organize and facilitate Kaizen events and support teams in identifying opportunities, developing actions, and tracking implementation.

  • Help teams translate improvement ideas into practical actions with appropriate local stakeholder support.

  • Drive employee engagement and participation in Lean practices, idea programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Own and maintain the Daily Management System (DMS) for assigned Lean activities, ensuring actions, progress, and key measures are appropriately tracked.

  • Collect, consolidate, and analyze operational and Lean performance data to support improvement priorities and management discussions.

  • Prepare Lean metrics, dashboards, reports, presentations, and other materials required for operational reviews.

  • Present Lean progress, metrics, improvement activities, and key updates during L1 and L2 reviews and support LP reviews when required.

  • Track improvement actions and follow up with stakeholders to support timely implementation and closure.

  • Support broader plant continuous improvement priorities through data analysis, reporting, stakeholder coordination, and disciplined follow-through.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

  • Graduate/entry-level candidate with a strong interest in Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and manufacturing operations.

  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, production systems, process improvement, and engineering fundamentals.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and work with operational data.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with shop floor employees, Frontline Leaders, and cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to coordinate activities across multiple stakeholders and follow improvement actions through to completion.

  • Comfortable preparing reports, presentations, dashboards, and data-driven updates for operational reviews.

  • Willingness to work closely with manufacturing teams and spend significant time on the shop floor at the GE BEL site.
