About the role

We're looking for a Junior Power Platform Developer to join our growing Microsoft team in Auckland—an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate or someone early in their software development career.

Working alongside experienced developers, consultants, architects, business analysts, and project managers, you'll learn to design, build, test, and support enterprise solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Dynamics 365, Azure, and AI-assisted development tools.

You'll contribute to real customer projects early in the role, with mentoring, structured learning, certification support, code reviews, and hands-on delivery experience.

Other duties include:

  • Developing Power Apps and Power Automate solutions
  • Working with Microsoft Dataverse and Dynamics 365
  • Assisting with application configuration, testing, and deployment
  • Learning modern development and integration practices
  • Working alongside senior developers and solution architects in design discussions and code reviews
  • Building technical and consulting skills through real delivery projects
  • Gradually participating in customer workshops, demonstrations, documentation, and solution discussions as your experience grows
  • Developing capability in Power Fx, JavaScript, C#, APIs, Azure services, and modern application development practices
  • Learning source control, DevOps, application lifecycle management, and responsible use of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot
  • Assisting with testing, troubleshooting, quality assurance, and technical documentation
  • Helping deliver successful customer outcomes across a variety of industries


Skills & experience

We're looking for someone with strong potential, curiosity, and demonstrable programming ability gained through study, employment, or personal projects. Along with this, you will also have:

  • A qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related discipline; or equivalent capability demonstrated through practical experience
  • Evidence of programming ability through coursework, employment, internships, certifications, a GitHub portfolio, hackathons, or personal projects
  • Exposure to a language such as C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Power Fx, with an understanding of software development fundamentals
  • Basic knowledge of data, relational databases, source control, APIs, cloud services, or modern development tools
  • Bring strong attention to detail and curiosity about AI, automation, and cloud technologies
  • Want to build a long-term career in technology consulting and software development
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform or Dynamics 365 would be advantageous
  • Microsoft certifications such as PL-900 would be advantageous
