The Role

Based in the Brisbane HQ, you will have the opportunity to work with and learn from a team with impressive credentials and experience gained in both chartered and commercial environments, complemented by CA and CPA qualifications. You'll be exposed to a wide range of teams within the Group Finance function, including Accounting, Corporate Reporting, Shared Services and Financial Planning & Analysis, to name a few. The ideal candidate will be a team player who possesses a high level of initiative, embraces change and works effectively as part of a team and autonomously. 

What You’ll Be Doing

• Work with the team to complete End of Month End close, including preparing calculations and posting journals 
• Fixed Assets Maintenance 
• Providing analysis and commentary to support management reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and half-yearly basis and ad hoc reporting as required.
• Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations
• Assisting Group Revenue in processing of agent commissions.
• Effectively manage multiple stakeholders internally and externally. 
• Driving ongoing process improvement within Finance
• Exposure to Monthly Board Reporting
• Involvement in ad hoc finance projects

What We Are Looking For

• Recent tertiary graduate of Commerce, Accounting or Finance or due to graduate shortly
• Plans to complete further professional qualifications (CA/CPA)
• Highly developed Excel skills  
• Strong standards of ethics, professionalism and confidentiality
• Agile and Adaptable - able to quickly adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
