What you'll do
As an AI Engineer, you will:
- Design and develop AI-powered applications and agentic solutions.
- Build prototypes and proofs of concept using modern AI platforms and large language models.
- Collaborate with business units to identify opportunities where AI can improve efficiency, decision-making, and customer value.
- Create digital twins that are used for simulation, modelling and measuring of performance.
- Translate business challenges into technical solutions and experiments.
- Contribute to DNV’s AI operations, AI assurance practices, and scalable deployment approaches.
- Support innovation projects from ideation through pilot and implementation.
- Evaluate new AI technologies and help shape DNV's future AI capabilities.

Qualifications
Required qualifications
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Software Engineering, Cybernetics, Robotics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
- Alternatively, that you can document relevant and equivalent experience in those fields.
- Experience developing software solutions using Python or comparable programming languages.
- Understanding of machine learning, generative AI, or modern data technologies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with one or more of:
- Agentic AI frameworks
- Vector databases and semantic search
- Knowledge graphs
- API development and integrations
- MLOps and AI deployment practices
- Data engineering and analytics
