We are looking for ambitious AI Engineers to help accelerate the use of AI to create value for DNV’s customers.  

You will work at the intersection of technology, business innovation, and product development. Together with business experts, software engineers, data scientists, and senior leaders, you will turn emerging AI capabilities into practical solutions that deliver measurable impact.

We are looking for people who enjoy building prototypes, working directly with customers and users, experimenting with AI technologies, and transforming promising concepts into scalable business solutions.

What you'll do

As an AI Engineer, you will:

  • Design and develop AI-powered applications and agentic solutions.
  • Build prototypes and proofs of concept using modern AI platforms and large language models.
  • Collaborate with business units to identify opportunities where AI can improve efficiency, decision-making, and customer value.
  • Create digital twins that are used for simulation, modelling and measuring of performance.
  • Translate business challenges into technical solutions and experiments.
  • Contribute to DNV’s AI operations, AI assurance practices, and scalable deployment approaches.
  • Support innovation projects from ideation through pilot and implementation.
  • Evaluate new AI technologies and help shape DNV's future AI capabilities.

Qualifications

Required qualifications

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Software Engineering, Cybernetics, Robotics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
  • Alternatively, that you can document relevant and equivalent experience in those fields.
  • Experience developing software solutions using Python or comparable programming languages.
  • Understanding of machine learning, generative AI, or modern data technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with one or more of:
  • Agentic AI frameworks
  • Vector databases and semantic search
  • Knowledge graphs
  • API development and integrations
  • MLOps and AI deployment practices
  • Data engineering and analytics
