Grade lumber using S.P.I.B. rules.
The hourly rate of pay for his position is $30.71.
Daily Job Duties:
- Manually flip boards to see both sides & visually inspect boards for defects.
- Keep lumber straight and moving down chains.
- Use crayon to mark grade on board
- Follow all applicable safety rules.
- Work regularly scheduled shifts.
- Work scheduled overtime – as required.
- Clean up during down time using air hose, rake, and shovel.
- Help train lower graded employee’s – as needed
- Must be able to pass eye exam with/without glasses/contacts – annually
- Must be able to maintain 80% pass rate for announced rules test – annually
- Will be evaluated quarterly with 95% or better rate & pay will be adjusted up or down depending on rate – quarterly
- Works in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- S.P.I.B. (Southern Pine Inspection Board) Certification
