Allied Health
Allied Health, which represents twelve professions, is a rapidly growing and integrated service within Cabrini. Allied Health at Cabrini offers senior consultant and leadership roles; work in clinical streams; a junior staff rotation and support program; professional development and teaching opportunities; and developing strong external and university partnerships.
The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Grade 1 Physiotherapist to join our team as part of our Grade 1 rotation program at Cabrini Malvern, Brighton and Elsternwick.
Our focus will be on developing both your clinical and soft skills, through access to internal and external professional development and regular supervision from senior staff in a supportive learning environment.
Rotating Grade 1
In our rotation program you will enjoy supportive four-month rotations that include opportunities to work with diverse patient cohorts across the health service continuum, including acute rotations in orthopaedics and paediatrics, ICU, cardiothoracic and abdominal surgery, oncology, general medical and neurology; and sub-acute rotations in inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation and rehabilitation in the home (RITH).
Key responsibilities:

Contribute to the delivery of high quality, compassionate, competent clinical services in existing Cabrini inpatient, home and/or community-based services

Provide patient-centred physiotherapy to clients, including thorough assessment, appropriate treatment, evaluation of therapy techniques and accurate documentation

Work with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure safe and appropriate discharge planning

Participate in departmental and program quality activities, and show a commitment to learning and self-development
About You:
We are looking for a dynamic Grade 1 Physiotherapist to join our team at Cabrini who is passionate about providing high quality patient centred care in line with our Cabrini mission and values.
You will have:

A physiotherapy degree, as well as current registration with AHPRA. (Please do not apply if you are currently a student)

Experience working in an acute and sub-acute hospital environments with different patient cohorts including orthopaedics, general surgical and general medical cohorts.

Experience assessing and discharge planning complex patients

Strong team approach and good communication skills within a multi-disciplinary team.

An ability to inspire, influence, and motivate patients.

Demonstrated ability to perform effectively under pressure and prioritise workloads, with a flexible team-based approach to patient care.
