Job Description Summary

The Government Pricing Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate calculation, analysis, audit, and submission of federally mandated drug pricing for government programs for manufacturers. This role is primarily focused on core government price reporting, including AMP, BP, ASP, 340B, Med Part B/D Inflation rebates and FSS/VA pricing—and supports compliance with complex federal regulations governing pharmaceutical pricing.
The Analyst also supports the development and maintenance of policies, SOPs, analytical tools, and quality controls to ensure compliance with evolving federal and state regulations. They will conduct historical audits, identify discrepancies, support remediation actions, and help maintain strong operational compliance standards.
In addition to federal pricing responsibilities, the Analyst provides secondary support for state drug price transparency programs, assisting with price increase reporting, new drug introduction filings, and state specific compliance requirements. This position partners closely with Legal, Regulatory, Finance, Commercial, and Compliance to ensure accurate reporting, process integrity, and timely submission of all required data.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities – Manufacturer Government Drug Price Reporting

  • Calculate, review, or audit one or more government price reporting programs following approved company methodologies:
    • Medicaid Drug Rebate Program (AMP, BP, URA)
    • Medicare Part B (ASP)
    • Public Health Service / 340B Ceiling Price
    • Federal Supply Schedule (Non FAMP, FCP)
    • Med Part B Inflationary Rebate
    • Med Part D Inflationary Rebate
  • Maintain Model N pricing system accuracy and functionality, ensuring correct data inputs, configuration consistency, and adherence to internal controls for government price reporting.
  • Ensure accurate, complete, and timely submission of all federal manufacturer drug price reports, including Medicaid, Medicare, PHS/340B, and VA/DoD.
  • Perform analytical reviews of government pricing calculations; validate accuracy and compliance with federal regulations and internal policies.
  • Conduct variance analysis of product pricing, discounts, rebates, fees, and transactional data; investigate and communicate drivers of period-to-period fluctuations.
  • Calculate restatements and financial adjustments of government price reporting programs as needed.
  • Support new drug launch government price reporting, including initial AMP/BP/ASP calculations, FDA listing submissions, and setup of government pricing methodology for new products.
  • Support administration of the Federal Supply Schedule contract, including quarterly updates, price realignments, and reporting to the VA.
  • Provide guidance to Market Access, Commercial, and cross-functional stakeholders on the government pricing implications of pricing decisions, contracting, and new product launches.
  • Coordinate closely with the Gross-to-Net Accounting team to ensure accuracy of inputs impacting government pricing, accruals, reserves, and month-end processes.
  • Participate in enhancements to the government pricing system architecture (e.g., Model N), including testing, validation, and functional design.

Cross-Functional, Policy, and Compliance Responsibilities

  • Assist with development, maintenance, and updates to policies, SOPs, and work instructions to support compliant and efficient operations.
  • Participate in internal and external audits to demonstrate compliance with company policies, laws, and regulations.
  • Provide training, mentoring, and support to team members involved in government pricing and transparency processes.

Secondary / Supporting Responsibilities – State Drug Transparency Reporting

  • Support tracking and interpretation of state drug price transparency laws, reporting triggers, and compliance obligations for price increases, WAC changes, and new product launches.
  • Assist with preparation and submission of state price transparency filings, including supporting documentation and validation.
  • Provide support in conducting audits of historic state transparency filings and identifying opportunities for improvement or remediation.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Government Affairs, and Compliance to monitor emerging state-level legislation and assist with translating requirements into process updates.
  • Support internal stakeholder education regarding transparency reporting requirements and timelines.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Accounting, Finance, Public Policy, or related field preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Three years of relevant experience in government pricing, manufacturer price reporting, Medicaid/Medicare reporting, pharmaceutical financial analysis, or related work.
  • Strong understanding of federal drug price reporting (AMP, BP, ASP, 340B, FSS/VA) required.
  • Experience with state drug price transparency reporting preferred.
  • Familiarity with new drug launch processes and FDA listing requirements preferred.
  • Advanced analytical ability with strong attention to detail and understanding of complex calculation methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally with Legal, Finance, Commercial, Regulatory, and Compliance teams.
  • High proficiency in Excel; experience with government pricing systems (e.g., Model N) strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), organizational, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced, compliance driven environment.
  • High ethical standards and commitment to compliant reporting practices.

Organizational Relationship / Scope

This position reports to the Manager, Government Reporting.

Role partners with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Regulatory Affairs, Compliance, and government agencies including CMS, the VA, and state regulators.

Position location: Malvern, PA; Bridgewater NJ or Hazelwood, MO

This position operates on a hybrid schedule—team members work in the office Tuesday–Thursday and from home on Mondays and Fridays.

The expected base pay range for this position is $80K – $96K. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

This position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable program. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion.
