GO! Manufacturing Program - Process Engineer Trainee

We are looking for two (2) Go! Manufacturing trainees to join our team in Nokia Tissue Paper Mill. Our leading brands include Lotus Soft Embo, Emilia, Nessu and Tork. The factory employs approximately 200 people and promoting sustainability and safety are our core values.

The trainee program "GO! Manufacturing Program" consists of 4 modules and focuses on comprehensive onboarding and continuous competence development, providing you with the "tools" you need for your future job as a Process Engineer. Program lasts about a year and after this your role will be Process Engineer in Converting or Paper Making. You will also receive structured support from direct supervisors and mentors and get to know GO! Trainees from other European Essity plants as program also includes an international training at one of our European mills. 

  

Your Role 
  • You will learn the processes of a hygiene paper production (e.g., mechanics, electricity, personnel, purchasing, planning, occupational safety, quality assurance) through a personal onboarding plan and go through them completely. 

  • Develop production competence, analyze production processes, and drive optimizations. 

  • With support, you will be responsible for your own paper machine or converting line 

  • You lead by example when it comes to safety 

  • Drive projects to support product delivery improvements and results, and actively participate in personnel responsibility and coordination issues. 

  • By actively participating in everyday work on site, you will support colleagues, e.g., by attending team meetings and inspecting production facilities. 

 

  

What You Bring 
  • Completed bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, mechatronics, automation or similar. Prior work experience is not mandatory; however, relevant internships may give you an edge.  

  • Safety first -mindset 

  • Fluent Finnish and good English skills. 

  • Enthusiasm, passion, curiosity, and teamwork skills
