The General Manager, Sales is responsible for overseeing and
driving the commercial success of CIG Motors. This role involves developing and
implementing sales strategies, managing sales teams, building customers
relationships, and ensuring that the company meets its revenue targets. The GM
Sales plays a crucial role in driving business growth and profitability across
the organisation's retail and fleet sales operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales
Strategy & Business Growth
- Develop
and execute a clear sales strategy to achieve monthly, quarterly, and
annual revenue targets.
- Identify
new business opportunities, key customer segments, and partnership
channels that support growth.
- Design
tactical plans to win major accounts, government institutions, corporates,
and fleet customers.
Sales
Operations & Team Leadership
- Lead,
coach, and manage the sales team to ensure consistent achievement of sales
goals.
- Set
performance targets, monitor progress, and ensure accountability across sales
territories and dealerships.
- Oversee
the full sales cycle, from lead generation to negotiation, closing,
delivery, and after-sales handover.
Market
& Customer Management
- Build
relationships with key decision-makers, corporate clients, government
agencies, and large fleet buyers.
- Maintain
an updated client and lead database for follow-up, retention, and repeat
business.
- Monitor
market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine
sales approaches.
Marketing
& Brand Support
- Work
closely with the marketing team to design sales campaigns, promotional
activities, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Support
brand visibility and reputation through events, test-drive sessions,
exhibitions, and partnership activations.
Requirements
- Have over 15 years’ experience working in a multinational environment.
- Possess bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in relevant courses or MBA.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and
successfully leading teams in high- pressure environments.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with
the ability to build rapport, motivate, and influence others.
