Location: Scarborough, ME
Position: Gluer Operator
Shift: 2nd shift hours 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm - *overtime if required would run until 1:00 am
Wage: $23.83

Reporting directly to the Shift Manager, as a Gluer Operator, you will be responsible for the safe operation of production equipment using standard operating procedures. Safely set up, run, and maintain a gluer machine. Maintain housekeeping standards in the area. Safely meet production goals by running at required speeds, meeting quality objectives and maintaining the reliability of the machine.

What you will be doing:

• Must follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner.
• Perform machine set-ups in a timely manner.
• Responsible for the production off your machine daily
• Responsible for accurate data entry for production collection system
• Understand and operate the glue systems.
• Troubleshoot Equipment – minimize downtime.
• Perform and oversee all quality processes for each job order produced.
• Stack cartons (All less than 50 lbs.)
• Use of pallet jack to move various pallets/skids.
• Fully participate in Maintenance/PM program – oil, grease, and maintain machines as scheduled.
• Maintain housekeeping standards – clean work areas and machines as needed and establish 5S standards for machines and work areas.

• Performs other duties as required.

• Able to do simple math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division and read and write to fully comprehend all forms and paperwork associated with this job.
• Can use upper extremities to press against something with steady force to thrust forward, downward, or outward and to exert force to draw, drag, haul, or tug objects in a sustained motion and can raise objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. Lifting up to 50 lbs. required.
